Q Should I use the wall oven in my kitchen to
'finish off' barbecued roasts?

A Be very, very careful Kevin. We became caught
up in the hysteria of a 'we make it great in the Sunshine
State' campaign and bought our first wall oven in the
1980s. Unfortunately, we made those particular ovens
very badly indeed in the Sunshine State at that time.
One evening Mrs Blue, who found herself in the kitchen
much as others find themselves becalmed in the Bermuda
Triangle, opened the oven door and the entire glass front
panel slid onto the tiled floor and exploded.
She claims never to have recovered from the shock and
has refused to cook since (actually she never cooked
before but that tends to be forgotten in the chardonnay
haze).
Wall ovens can be very dangerous things. Play it safe
and stick to the barby.
Cheers
